Free events on the weekend 15-16 July 2017

On Saturday and Sunday, 15-16 July 2017, we invite you to join us at Beit Warszawa Synagogue for free events.

On Saturday, 15th July, we will be hosting at Synagogue Beit Warszawa the participants of Shatz Cantorial Course. Join us for open lectures:

1:30-3:00 p.m. Music tradition of German Progressive Judaism – led by Professor Ralph Selig

Professor Ralph Selig is a lecturer at several universities, including Fairleigh Dickinson University and is one of the most eminent scholars of German liturgical music and artistic director of many musical events. He gives lectures also at Abraham Geiger Kolleg, Progressive Judaism Seminar in Berlin.

3:15-4:15 p.m. Wedding traditions led by Maciej Kirschenbaum

4:15-5:00 p.m. Parasha Balak study led by Maciej Kirschenbaum

On Sunday, 16th July, will take place workshop on Jewish Meditation & Kavannah led by Dr. Gerardo Ojeda. Join us at 5:00 p.m. at Synagogue Beit Warszawa!

We will practice 3 different types of short meditations and subsequently work on writing/re-writing our own individual Kavannah’s (Intentionality’s), to manifest our personal “Promised Land” in our respective lives. We will do this work based on the guidelines by Rabbi Olivier BenHaim www.betalef.org (everybody gets a copy of those guidelines). Please bring your personal notebooks and pens.
